Let the product itself tell
In the world of high-end collectibles, "perfect" photos can be a risk. Professional studio lighting and heavy Photoshop editing often hide the very things a collector needs to see: the texture of the original plastic wrap, the crispness of the Obi strip, and the true color of the artwork.
At Press-1, we believe that when you are browsing, we want you to see the truth.
Our "iPhone-Only" Promise
We don't use stock images. Every product photo on our site is taken right here in our office using a standard iPhone. Why? Because an iPhone captures the world exactly as your eyes see it.
- Zero Filters: We don't use filters to cover and beautify an item.
- Simple lighting only: We don't use studio lamps to hype the products.
- Capture the necessity: Obi Strips and barcodes are the DNAs for serious collectors.
Authenticity is Our "Archive Grade" Standard
When you see a photo on Press-1, you are looking at the Genbutsu (実物)—the actual item sitting on our office shelf. We take these photos to prove three things:
- Possession: The item is physically in New York, not stuck in an overseas warehouse.
- Integrity: The factory seal is intact and has been handled with professional care.
- Transparency: What you see in the photo is exactly what will arrive in your specialized shipping box.
By keeping our photography authentic and unedited, we ensure that your unboxing experience is exactly what you expected.
