Argerich
Widely regarded as one of the greatest living pianists in the world, Martha Argerich is legendary for her breathtaking virtuosity, fiery temperamental intensity, and deep musical sensitivity. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1941, she catapulted to international stardom after winning the VII International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1965.
Renowned for her razor-sharp technique and raw, spontaneous energy on stage, Argerich’s repertoire spans from Bach and Beethoven to late-Romantic and 20th-century masterpieces.
