This is Jay's ninth original album, released in 2008.
The album title, "Majicza," is a portmanteau of Jay's zodiac sign, Capricorn, the character "Jie" from his name, and "magic," which he was engrossed in at the time. The reason why there are few love songs and many "healing" songs is that the album strongly conveys a message to society, which was depressed by the global financial crisis (Lehman Shock) and a series of natural disasters at the time of its release. Sonically, it is a masterpiece that showcases Jay's signature blend of R&B, hip hop, and Chinese music, as well as his talent as a pianist.
