A masterful performance bridging the gap between "The Dark Side of the Moon" and
"Wish You Were Here." The 130+ minute full live performance from the April 26, 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena concert, which was included as audio content on the Blu-ray of the 2CD-only release "Wish You Were Here (50th Anniversary Edition)," is
now being released as a 2CD set. It features early versions of songs that were included on "Wish You Were Here" and "Animals" ("Raving and Drooling" later became "Sheep" / "You've Got to Be Crazy" later became "Dogs") and a full performance of "The Dark Side of the Moon." All 16 tracks, originally recorded by famous bootlegger Mike Millard and meticulously restored and remastered by Steven Wilson (who remixed "Pink Floyd at Pompeii"), are being officially released for the first time.
At the time, despite being a bootleg, Rolling Stone magazine raved about it! "If Pink Floyd were to make a bootleg series, they should get their hands on Millard's master tapes. It's a show from when their abilities as a live act were at their peak, and it should be heard as widely as possible" (Rolling Stone, 2021). This historic live performance,
capturing a moment that gets closer to the true image of Pink Floyd in 1975, from "The Dark Side of the Moon" to "Wish You Were Here," is a crucial night in Floyd's history, and it is brilliantly revived using the highest level of modern technology.
