The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has sold over 220 million copies across volumes 1-23 of Shueisha's Jump Comics. Animation production is handled by ufotable. The story begins
with Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is killed by demons, joining the Demon Slayer Corps in order to turn his demon-transformed sister Nezuko back into a human. The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Tanjiro Kamado's Determination Arc" began airing and streaming in April 2019, followed by the theatrical release of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" in October 2020, and the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" and "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Entertainment District Arc" airing and streaming from 2021 to 2022. From February 2023, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba World Tour Screening - Upper Moons Assemble, and to the Swordsmith Village" was held, and from April, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV Anime - Swordsmith Village Arc" was broadcast and streamed. From February 2024, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba World Tour Screening - The Miracle of Bonds, and to the Pillar Training" was held in over 145 countries and regions, surpassing the previous work, and from May, the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV Anime - Pillar Training Arc" was broadcast and streamed.
Furthermore, it was announced that "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Infinity Castle Arc" would be produced as a three-part theatrical film series.
The first chapter, Akaza's Return, was released in Japan on July 18, 2025 (Friday) and ended its run in most theaters on April 9, 2026

Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization that hunts demons, in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon, back into a human.
After joining, he fights various demons with his comrades Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds.
Tanjiro also fights alongside the Pillars, the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, and engages in fierce battles with them: Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Pillar, in "Mugen Train"; Tengen Uzui, the Sound Pillar, in "Entertainment District"; and Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Pillar, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Pillar,
in "Swordsmith Village". Afterward, in preparation for the upcoming decisive battle against demons, he and the other members participate in the joint training exercises led by the Pillars, known as "Pillar Training," when Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro and the Pillars rush to the aid of their master, but Muzan throws them into a mysterious space.

Tanjiro and his companions land in the demons' stronghold, the Infinity Castle—
the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons is about to begin.
