●Teresa's second Chinese-language album, originally released on cassette tape by Polydor in Japan in November 1979, compiled from recordings made for the "Island Love Songs" series which began release in Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1975, is now available on super high-end analog record "100% Pure LP"! Featuring her own hit singles such as "Snow Makeup," "Where is My Hometown?" and "Night Ferryboat," the 3LP contains 20 tracks, including popular enka and kayokyoku covers such as "Spring in the Northern Country" and "Winter Scenery of the Tsugaru Strait," as well as some hidden gems of her original songs.
● "100% Pure LP" is a special Made in Japan product that debuted in 2012 and is a pioneer of modern high-fidelity records that has attracted considerable attention from around the world. One of its features is the use of "uncolored virgin vinyl," which eliminates all coloring agents that affect sound, such as carbon, that are normally used in analog records. By using only pure straight vinyl chloride as the raw material, the stability of the molding is significantly enhanced.
● Another key point is the use of "metal master pressing." By omitting the metal mother and stamper from the process leading up to the pressing of a normal analog record, and pressing directly from the metal master, it is possible to create grooves that are overwhelmingly faithful to the original. However, due to its inferior durability, the number of pressings is strictly limited.
● Furthermore, this release uses 45 RPM, which is used for 12-inch singles, instead of the usual 33 RPM of LP records. This results in a double LP set because the amount of time that can be recorded on each side is shorter, but it allows for wider and longer grooves to be engraved, and the high-speed rotation improves stability, creating a significant advantage in detail reproduction and rich volume.
●The audio source is a newly transferred 96kHz/24bit WAV file created from the original analog master tapes, and mastered as flat as possible to avoid compromising the freshness of the sound and dynamic range. The goal is to create a natural sound that is faithful to the original.
●By thoroughly pursuing every step from the selection of master and vinyl materials to pressing, we have created "100% Pure LP" that maximizes the true value of vinyl records. The guts and warmth unique to analog remain, while a truly pure and clear sound unfolds, completely free from muddiness and impurities.
