Following his UK-certified Gold debut album 'Geography', Tom Misch's second album has finally been released!!

London-based artist/songwriter/producer Tom Misch has released his second album, 'Full Circle', on his own label, Beyond The Groove.
Following his UK-certified Gold debut album 'Geography', 'Full Circle' is Tom Misch's most personal and honest work to date. The family, friendships, nature, and the time he spent reconnecting with music after distancing himself from it over the past eight years that have shaped him—all of these are quietly but clearly etched into this album. Production took place while traveling between London, Cornwall, Portugal, and Nashville, and it was born from the "time to pause" that was necessary to rebuild his relationship with music.
Tom Misch burst onto the scene like a comet in 2012 with early tracks released on SoundCloud, and since then has led the scene as a symbolic figure of the bedroom producer generation. His exceptional production skills and refined sensibility brought him to public attention with the 'Beat Tape' series, and his debut album 'Geography', which reached number 8 on the UK charts and was certified gold in the UK, established a new British sound. The success of 'Geography' led to sold-out shows around the world, including at London's Brixton Academy, and he has gained solid recognition and support in Japan, where he has performed on the main stage of Fuji Rock and headlined the Greenroom Festival.
Furthermore, collaborations with artists such as Yussef Dayes on 'What Kinda Music' (number 4 on the UK charts/nominated for the Ivor Novello Award), FKJ, Cory Wong, Loyle Carner, and De La Soul continue to be at the core of his creative work. In recent years, while expanding his approach to club music under the alias 'Supershy', he has also experienced periods where he had to confront strong anxieties and pause behind the scenes of his success.

Leaving the studio and spending time surfing and in nature, Tom reconnects with music. Freed from pressure and expectations, the creative process, focused on "singing the truth" with trusted friends and new collaborators, shapes the emotional depth of 'Full Circle'.
On this album, he steps away from his previous production-driven approach and focuses on classic songwriting that relies on piano and guitar. It was created with South London singer-songwriter Matt Maltese, who contributed to the composition of many tracks on this album, Ian Fichak, who made significant contributions to the work in Nashville, and Adam Jaffrey, who was deeply involved in this album from the early stages. Vintage microphones, including the legendary U47, were used for recording, pursuing a warm and clear sound inspired by 70s hi-fi records. An intimate and vibrant soundscape, influenced by Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, John Martin, and JJ Cale, permeates the entire album.
The worldview of "Full Circle" was already presented in the singles "Old Man" and "Red Moon," released last year. "Old Man" depicts reflections on family relationships and aging, while "Red Moon" portrays the warmth and groove of classic 60s and 70s recordings. "
Full Circle" is a work that confronts the quiet time Tom has spent over the past few years, yet remains consistently positive and resonates deeply with the listener. The universal lyrics resonate with each listener's life, and this album is both a journey for Tom Misch himself and a demonstration of his ongoing evolution.

Eight years after "Geography" (2018), this is only his second original album. Building on the direction of his EP "Six Songs" (2024), he continues to showcase his singer-songwriter-like sensibility, exemplified by the lighthearted guitar-driven "Slow Tonight." With the help of collaborators and producers like Ian Fichak and Matt Maltese, he avoids ambitious projects, instead pursuing a simple, self-expressive style in this excellent album.
